Hi there, my name is Alistair Le Poer Trench from  Australia and I live in Playa del Carmen Mexico.   I have traveled a lot in my life but I have settled here for the moment. I bought land in the magical town of Tulum and constructed Alicat Villas in 2017. 
 I enjoy learning Spanish and meeting people from all over the world. I like to share my experiences (for those who want to listen) and help them as best I can with their travel plans.

As Tulum is a growing place, with many jungle areas and developing streets, it is important to take care of and responsibly maintain this natural paradise. That is why Alicat Villas consists of four unique cabins made of ecological wood with all the comforts to make of your stay something unforgettable.
 Although we don't have solar panels, all white goods use 'smart converters' to save power,  gas for cooking and hot water, a self-composting waste-water system and also  a compost area for your organic waste. All these contributions reduce our carbon footprint and give back to the environment.   We try to be as ecological as possible while ensuring you enjoy luxurious aspects of our home (your home) in the Mexican Caribbean.
